The genesig® Easy AnimalFINDER kits provide a simple and accurate method for the detection of your chosen species. The kits can be used to detect animal DNA in non-animal samples such as pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, vegan food products and food manufacturing wash downs, as well as in animal products and highly processed foods.

To achieve maximum sensitivity, the assay targets mitochondrial DNA, which is present at multiple copies within an animal cell. Each genesig® Easy AnimalFINDER kit is developed using a comprehensive bioinformatic analysis and design process, delivering a highly specific and sensitive testing method.

An Internal Extraction Control is included as a workflow control to produce amplification in the absence of the target species, in order to verify negative results in animal and non-animal products alike.

Select the optimal kit for your sample type, application and qPCR instrument

The genesig® Easy AnimalFINDER kits are optimised for use with the genesig® q16 and genesig® q32 real-time PCR instruments. If you are using another real-time PCR instrument, our genesig Standard Speciation kits are recommended.

For percentage quantification of the species content in meat-based samples, the genesig® Easy Speciation or genesig® Advanced Speciation kits can be used.
