Real-Time PCR positive controls
Our goal is to empower you to perform high quality real-time PCR.  To do this the correct controls are required:

High quality biologically derived BioBank cDNA for real-time PCR.
  • Professionally synthesised
  • Biologically derived
  • Guaranteed positive control signal
Order a positive control alongside your gene of interest real-time PCR assay.  With this tool you can prove the performance of your real-time PCR reaction conditions and the assay in use beyond doubt.

This is particularly useful if you are extracting RNA from a challenging source  (e.g. paraffin embedded tissue samples.) or using a new RNA extraction protocol  and the quality of RNA is in question.

Copy number standard curve.

Kits can be supplied with a synthetic oligonucleotide standard curve.  This is ideal for absolute quantification studies.

If you are ordering a custom real-time PCR assay for a PREDICTED gene from the NCBI database we will also supply a copy number standard curve.  This is required because we cannot be sure of the authenticity of predicted sequences and thus we require a guaranteed template to validate the performance of the primers on.

This tool is also very useful when trying to detect splice variant targets.  Many splice variants that are sited in papers or submitted to the main sequence databases are expressed at very low levels or not at all in most tissues and circumstances. This makes it very hard for us to find the correct cDNA from our BioBank to validate the assay on. A synthetic positive control template enables us to properly validate your assay whilst also providing you the positive control you will need should your splice variant of interest turn out to be absent from your experimental model.
