…a little bit! As of February 11th 2008 the kit contents and therefore protocol for PrimerDesign Precision Reverse Transcription kits has been altered slightly.

What has changed? Very little. The dNTPS and the primers are now in separate tubes rather than being pre mixed. The kit contains both random nonamer, and oligo dT primers too.
Why has it changed? The kit is better for you! Essentially the changes have made the kit more flexible and will allow you to do better science. You can now use the kit with a choice of random nonamer primers, oligo dT primers or both. And of course the gold standard in reverse transcription is to use a gene specific RT primer. These can now be used with this kit too.
What should I do? Take a look at the new protocol. There is just one additional pipetting step required. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask.
