Quantification of genomic DNA is useful for forensic research and also as a normalising signal for quantitative PCR and cell counting. The PrimerDesign genomic DNA (gDNA) detection assays is sensitive down to at least 25pg of genomic DNA.
The primers are designed to detect a redundant section of human genomic DNA and do not therefore give a signal on human copy DNA. this removes possible false positive results.
